There are two Scripture passages that are very special to me: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
My other favorite passage is: Matthew 6:34 So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's trouble is enough for today.
I wish I were scripture literate. Maybe someone can help me out where to find this-I could not this morning. I might even be mixing a few together! The first goes something like...."Do not worry about anything, for God is at hand. Ask God for what you need, always asking with a thankful heart, and God who is faithful and just, will keep your hearts and minds safe in Christ Jesus.
Another I like, again not knowing where it comes from: It is more important to be kind than right."
Family and friends of Grace United Methodist Church are encouraged to share their thoughts and concerns. It is our hope that through this open discussion, you will find a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.
